FIELD: thermal physics, examination of thermal characteristics of convectively cooled parts, for instance, turbine blades. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with procedure establishing convective heat transfer coefficient of convectively cooled part this part is placed in melt of crystalline substance at its solidification temperature, is blown with cooling agent and its temperature is measured. Novelty of approach consists in measurement of temperature of external surface of wall of part in process of its blowing through right in melt, in recording of time of measurement from start of blowing-through and in computation of coefficient for which there is used formula , where α is heat transfer coefficient, W/sq m K; δw is thickness of wall of part, m; λw is thermal conductivity of material of wall of part, W/m K; λc is thermal conductivity of crystalline substance, W/m K; L is latent heat of solidification of crystalline substance, J/kg; ρ is density of crystalline substance, kg/cu m; τ is measurement time of temperature of external surface of wall of part from start of blowing-through; Tc is solidification temperature of crystalline substance, K; Tc.a is temperature of cooling agent, K; Te.s is temperature of external wall of part, K. EFFECT: increased accuracy of establishment of convective heat transfer coefficient, widened range of examined parts.
