FIELD: photometry.
SUBSTANCE: energy density meter of pulsing polychromatic optical radiation contains a body, a back cover, a heat-insulating sleeve, a clip with protective glass, a connecting device that connects the signal outputs of the measuring thermocouple with the recording equipment, a receiving element made in form of a disk made of a material with high thermal conductivity, in the centre of the back side of which the hot junction of the measuring thermocouple is fixed, and the working irradiated surface of the receiving element is covered with soot, the receiving element itself is fixed on heat-insulating supports. Receiving element parameters - diameter d and thickness δ are determined by calculation and experiment, in order to eliminate heat losses, the receiving element with the hot junction measuring thermocouple is placed in a thermally insulating block with its back and side sides, the insulating block is equipped with a package of thermally insulating spacers having the same thickness s, made of the same material with high thermal resistance. Gaskets are made with different thermal conductivity λ1 and λ2, λ1>λ2, and in the package the thermal conductivity of gaskets alternates as follows: λ1-λ2-λ1-λ2…, on the side of the working irradiated surface, the receiving element is equipped with a diaphragm that protects the side surface of the receiving element from the effects of converging rays coming from the radiation source, the device is additionally equipped with an isothermal block, in which two cold junctions of the measuring thermocouple and two controlled thermoelectric modules are placed.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of energy density measurement.
