FIELD: hydrogen production.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a catalyst composition for producing hydrogen gas containing nickel, at least one of the following promoters: Cu, Zn, and a carrier, represented by a steamed biochar or an equilibrium catalyst for liquid catalytic cracking of spent material. The proportion of nickel is 6-19 wt.%, and the proportion of at least one promoter is 0.5 wt.% with respect to the carrier. In addition, the present invention relates to a method for producing a catalyst composition, a method for producing hydrogen gas, and a method for producing carbon nanotubes.
EFFECT: efficient conversion of methane into hydrogen.
