FIELD: internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device (5) for supplying a chemical agent to the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, comprising: a mixer housing (8) having an inlet (15) through which the exhaust gas flow enters the mixer housing (8); a metering tube (9) passing through the mixer body (8), towards which the exhaust gas flowing into the mixer body (8) flows in the transverse direction, and having a first end and a second end; a dosing block (6) which is located at the first end of the dosing tube (9) and can be connected to a source of reagent, for discharging the reagent into the dosing tube (9); and means for creating a swirling flow of exhaust gases. The means for creating a vortex flow is configured to create a vortex flow inside the dosing tube (9). To this end, the dosing tube (9) has at least one inlet (17) extending along the shell surface segment for at least 45° in the peripheral direction and continuing at least one section of the length of the metering pipe (9) located inside the body (8) of the mixer, and the specified supply hole has a spade-shaped cap (18) located on the metering tube (9) and guiding the flow of exhaust gases eccentrically into the air inlet (17).
