FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: device for measuring biopotentials in germinating seeds to determine the optimal modes of their processing by a pulsed electric field, which contains a power supply unit, a power supply network and a personal computer. The device is further equipped with a mechanism for fixing the seed, which is located on a dielectric stand, through which the common wire of the circuit is passed. The locking mechanism is connected to a common wire-electrode, the first and second electrodes. The common wire-electrode, the first and second electrodes are connected to the common wire of the circuit. The common wire of the circuit, the common wire-electrode, the first and second electrodes are connected to the amplifier unit, which is connected to the power supply unit, which is connected to the mains. The amplifier block is connected to the signal level matching block, which is connected to the microcontroller and the recorder, and the microcontroller is connected to a personal computer. A method is also proposed, which is carried out using the specified device.

EFFECT: invention provides high efficiency of the method for determining the optimal mode of seed treatment by a pulsed electric field.
