FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of increasing the antimicrobial activity of a liquid extract of aloe vera in an in vitro experiment against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. A method of increasing the antimicrobial activity of a liquid extract of aloe vera in an in vitro experiment against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli includes introducing into sterile stainless steel cylinders installed on the surface of the nutrient substrate of a Petri dish, over a liquid extract of aloe in an amount of 200 μl of amorphous hydrogel for wounds in a volume of 100 µl followed by keeping the Petri dish at a room temperature for 1–2 hours with further incubation in a thermostat at the temperature of +37°C for 24 hours.
EFFECT: above method allows to increase the antimicrobial activity of the liquid extract of aloe vera in an in vitro experiment against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
