FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: measuring soil moisture for the period preceding the next irrigation, building mathematical models of soil moisture reserves and dynamics of soil moisture reserves. Soil moisture is measured by autonomous sensors located at the upper and lower elevations of the microrelief of the area covered by a circular or frontal sprinkler, and equipped with radio signal transmitters with a range of up to 30 km, installed in the soil to a depth of 10-60 cm. The height of the sensor racks exceeds the height of the agricultural stalk by 0.5-1.0 m. The sensors are calibrated in units of volumetric moisture and they send data on soil moisture via radio every hour at depths that are multiples of 10 cm to a data transmission device, according to the assigned number of each sensor, via GLONASS satellite communication to a server computer, which, processing data from sensors, determines priority sensor and predicts the date of the next irrigation in 12-24 hours, notifies the owner of the reservoir and pumping station, the operator of the pumping station, the owner of the sprinkler, the operator of the sprinkler on irrigation in 12-24 hours.
EFFECT: simplification of the method of irrigation by circular or frontal sprinklers, forecasting and simultaneous notification of the start of the next irrigation 12-24 hours in advance.
