SUBSTANCE: automated planter for supplementing forest crops in the rows comprises a frame based on running and support wheels driven by electric motors powered by removable batteries. In the central part of the module there is a telescopic element for creating seats in the form of a coulter-seedling tube placed in a hollow cylindrical body with a sealing pad. In the upper part, the coulter-seedling conduit is equipped with a receiving funnel for receiving seedlings with a closed root system, and in the lower part it has a bevelled blade closed with a flap. The damper is connected through a lever with a pneumatic cylinder and has the ability to rotate on an axis. In the upper part of the hollow cylindrical body, windows are made for the movement of the rods of the pneumatic cylinders attached to the coulter-seedling conduit for raising and lowering it. The vertical movement of the entire structure of the telescopic element is carried out using the main pneumatic cylinder. Air is supplied to the module's pneumatic cylinders by a compressor controlled by a controller. To monitor the presence or absence of plants in a number of forest crops, a vision system is used, consisting of a camera and a control unit. To supply seedlings with a closed root system to the coulter-seedling duct, there is a belt feed mechanism in the form of a desktop located in the upper part of the frame, along which a tape with cells moves for laying seedlings with a closed root system with a roller drive. In the centre of the working table there is a receiving window with a shutter above the receiving funnel of the telescopic element.

EFFECT: automating the process of adding forest crops to the rows and improving the quality of embedding the closed root system of seedlings and, consequently, the planting process as a whole.
