FIELD: elevator equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device for controlling the doorway of elevators based on a photo curtain contains a control unit and two optical sensors. The sensors contain modules of infrared optical transceivers placed on the board with a pitch providing illumination of two receiving elements of one sensor by one transmitting element of the other. The transceiver elements are an infrared LED and a phototransistor, eight pieces, which are controlled by a microcomputer, which turns on the transmitters in turn and interrogates the receivers in accordance with the commands of the control unit, and also transmits information about the signal levels on the receiving elements of the module to the control unit.

EFFECT: accuracy of obstacle detection is increased.
