FIELD: mining industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in potash industry for reclamation of salt dump surface. The method of disposal of waste dumps includes arrangement of a waterproof cover and a soil-vegetative layer on a slope of a salt dump, separate removal of brines from a body of a salt dump and fresh water from its slopes. To remove draining brines from the body of the salt dump, a brine-collecting ditch is formed and its waterproofing is carried out, while the bottom and slopes are covered with an impervious screen and a protective layer. After that, in the bed of the brine-collecting ditch, contour drainage is arranged in the form of a drainage prism, consisting of crushed stone and a tubular collector with drainage holes, which is covered with woven geotextile. A waterproofing jumper is laid above the contour drainage, tightly connecting it to the edges of the waterproof coating and the anti-filtration screen of the brine-collecting ditch. The waterproofing lintel consists of a polyethylene membrane or a geosynthetic bentonite mat. To drain fresh water from the slope of the salt dump, a drainage channel is formed by placing a layer of clay soil on the surface of the waterproofing bridge, which is covered with a protective indelible layer. The protective non-eroded layer is additionally reinforced with a ballast prism, consisting of large crushed stone or rubble stone, to prevent the drainage of brines from the body of the salt dump.

EFFECT: a significant reduction in the environmental impact of salt waste when placed on a salt dump.
