SUBSTANCE: pin-diode switches. The waveguide switch is an assembly device, which consists of a resonant grating module, a top plate, a carrier plate, a bottom plate, four positioning screws, a fork, and a diaphragm. In this case, the resonant grating module of the waveguide switch consists of two conductors located in fluoroplastic tubes, a diaphragm, and eight pin diodes. The diaphragm of the resonant grating module is a resonant grating, in which two slots are cut, forming six bridges. The device is configured to adjust the parameters by physically removing one or more jumpers, and smooth adjustment is provided by bending the fifth jumper and the sixth jumper. The design of the waveguide switch allows to select the width of the operating band of the device, as well as to adjust the center frequency in a wide range. However, at a distanceλ/4 from the resonant grating module there is a diaphragm containing a resonant window, which allows to adjust the value of the loaded quality factor of the waveguide switch.
EFFECT: expansion of the operating bandwidth of the transmission frequency, the reduction of direct losses and the simplification of manufacturing method.
