FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering and can be used in commutators, phase shifters, attenuators and other microwave control devices. Waveguide switch consists of a rectangular waveguide with a diaphragm in its cross section made on the basis of a two-sided foil dielectric in the first foil layer of which two slots are realized that are parallel to the wide walls of a rectangular waveguide, and in the second layer of the foil an earth conductor is realized that is connected to the first foil layer by means of metallized holes arranged along the outline of the rectangular waveguide, as well as a signal conductor consisting of a central region, a thin printed conductor emerging from the rectangular waveguide through an opening located in one of its narrow walls, and an additional thin printed conductor emerging from the rectangular waveguide through an opening located in its other narrow wall. On the diaphragm, from the side of the second foil layer, two diodes connected in series are mounted opposite each slot.

EFFECT: technical result is simplification of design and manufacturing technology.
