SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a substituted thiophenecarboxamide of formula (I), where R1 and R2 are identical and represent a chlorine atom or a bromine atom; R3 is methyl; R4 is selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, alkyl with 1–6 carbon atoms, benzyl atoms, and benzyl substituted with hydroxyl atoms, alkyl with 1–6 carbon atoms substituted with C1-C6-alkylsulfanyl, and R5 represents a hydrogen atom; or R4 and R5 together with the carbon atom to which they are attached form cyclopropyl; R6 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl with 1–6 hydrogen atoms, haloalkyl with 1–6 hydrogen atoms, cyanoalkyl with 3–8 hydrogen atoms, phenyl, benzyl, oxetanyl, -C1-C6-alkyl-Si(C1-C6-alkyl)3 and -C1-C6-alkyl-C3-C8-cycloalkyl. The invention also relates to intermediate compounds, the structures and meanings of which are indicated in the formula.
EFFECT: protection of plants from bacterial diseases, in particular, those caused by bacteria belonging to Xanthomonas genus.
