SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a substituted thiophenecarboxamide of formula (II), where R1, R2 and R3 represent a chlorine atom; R4 is selected from a group consisting of a hydrogen atom, 2-methylpropyl, 1-methylpropyl, cyclopropyl, cyclopropyl substituted with alkenyl with 2–6 carbon atoms, benzyl and benzyl substituted with hydroxyl, and R5 represents a hydrogen atom; or R4 and R5 together with the carbon atom to which they are attached form cyclopropyl; R6 is selected from a group consisting of a hydrogen atom, alkyl with 1–6 carbon atoms, haloalkyl with 1–6 carbon atoms, cyanoalkyl with 1–6 carbon atoms, alkenyl with 2–6 carbon atoms, alkynyl with 2–6 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl with 3–8 carbon atoms, phenyl, benzyl, -C1-C6-alkyl-Si(C1-C6-alkyl)3 and -C1-C6-alkyl-C3-C8-cycloalkyl; R7 represents a hydrogen atom or alkyl with 1–6 carbon atoms.
EFFECT: protection of plants from bacterial diseases, in particular, those caused by bacteria belonging to Xanthomonas genus.
