FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: superstructure of a railway track, in particular, methods for welding a crosspiece and a rail. The austenitic chromium nickel steel spacer is bonded to the carbon steel rail by resistance fusion welding and cut to the minimum length. A protrusion is made in the area of the web of the insert from the side of the rail. A recess is made at the end of the rail. The recess surfaces are parallel to the surfaces of the protrusion of the spacer. In the final connection, a spacer of chromium-nickel steel of the original composition is provided. Cooled in natural conditions and connected to the manganese steel crosspiece by fusion welding.
EFFECT: increasing of crack resistance of the joint.
