FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to welding production and may be used in railway transport for connection of point frogs made of manganese steel with rails made of carbon steel. Method for welding joint of manganese steel frog to carbon steel rail, according to which intermediate insert made of austenite chromium nickel steel cut after welding to rail of carbon steel to length of less than 25 mm, but at the same time providing for insert of austenite chromium and nickel steel of original composition after heating and shrinkage of joined elements, is joined by means of welding by melt to manganese steel frog. Prior to connection of chromium-nickel austenite steel insert to carbon steel rail by means of joint welding with melt, one side of additional carbon steel insert, which contains less carbon compared to carbon steel is joined, cut to length less than 30 mm, but at the same time providing for carbon steel insert of original composition in final welded joint, cooling is done in natural conditions. Then insert of chrome nickel austenite steel is connected to the second side of insert made of carbon steel. Suggested method provides for reduced duration and energy intensity of welding process for joint of manganese steel crosspiece and carbon steel rail.
EFFECT: reduced duration and energy intensity of welding process for joint of manganese steel crosspiece and carbon steel rail.
