FIELD: operation and repair of existing compressor stations.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to remove gas from process pipelines and compressor station equipment before diagnostic, routine maintenance and putting the compressor station into repair. The gas pumping system from the compressor station of the main gas pipeline being taken out for repair comprises two horizontal tanks with separating pistons placed in them and with inlet and outlet nozzles at both ends and an air compressor unit with pipelines for pumping out and forcing air, whereas the discharge pipeline of the air compressor unit is connected to the inlet nozzles at one of the ends of the horizontal tanks, and the pumping pipeline is connected to the outlet nozzles of these ends, ensuring that air is alternately taken from one horizontal tank and supplied to another with a pressure higher than the pressure in the main gas pipeline, one from the flares of the compressor station through a pipeline with a valve installed on it is connected through a three-way valve to the inlet pipes of horizontal tanks at their other ends, and the outlet pipes at these ends are connected via a pipeline with a three-way valve installed on it to the main gas pipeline, to which the compressor station is connected by means of inlet and outlet pipelines with valves installed on them.

EFFECT: return of gas pumped out from the compressor station to the main gas pipeline with the minimum possible losses.
