FIELD: measuring techniques.
SUBSTANCE: used in circuits for measuring the liquid level in process apparatus. The measuring device includes a differential pressure gauge. Two capillaries are connected to the inlet of the differential pressure gauge and are installed through pressurized inlets into the process apparatus with a controlled liquid, and the end of one capillary is immersed in the controlled liquid. On the capillaries for supplying the separating liquid, above the process apparatus, there are fittings connected to pipe connecting lines. The control of the supply of separating liquid to the capillaries is carried out by valves, as well as by a pump. The differential pressure gauge is the main unit and implements the tasks for controlling the elements of the measuring device (valves, pump, etc.). The differential pressure gauge consists of a measuring element and an intelligent module. The intelligent module includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), two switches and two filters. During the operation of the measuring device, the pressure supplied to the input of the differential pressure gauge enters the measuring element and is converted into an electrical signal. Then the electrical signal from the measuring element is transmitted to the intelligent module. In the intelligent module, the electrical signal is fed to the ADC, where the received electrical signal is digitized. Next, the digitized signal is fed to the switch, which switches over a predetermined period, depending on the required duration of the measuring system: in normal mode (level measurement mode) or in the mode of process operations (capillary purge mode). The intelligent module filters alternately process the measurement signal depending on the mode in which the measurement system is operating, and the switch determines which of the two filters will process this signal. When switching from filter to filter, the last measured and filtered value of the measuring signal is fixed on the filter.
EFFECT: creation of a device for measuring the liquid level in process apparatuses, providing a sufficiently high accuracy due to the continuous collection of measuring information.
