SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing a radio frequency smart card, which includes the following steps: forming a card body containing a relay antenna and an insulating coating layer on at least one main side of the card, placing a module equipped with a radio frequency module antenna on the card body facing the relay antenna for radio frequency communication, characterized by forming a metal insert in said card body, wherein said insert extends to the edges of the card and comprises a space permeable to the radio frequency field, extending to at least one of the two main sides of the insert, whereas the relay antenna with its supporting substrate is inserted inside said permeable space.
EFFECT: improved radio frequency characteristics.
