FIELD: smart cards carrying information.

SUBSTANCE: tab for a card with a microcircuit. The tab contains an antenna for communication with the module for inductive communication with the antenna of the chip module and an antenna for communication with the card reader for inductive communication with the antenna of the reader of the external card reader. The antenna for communication with the card reader is electrically connected to the antenna for communication with the module. The tab also includes a leadless capacitor module that is electrically connected to the card reader communication antenna to allow the card reader communication antenna to resonate at a predetermined frequency. The leadless capacitor module contains at least one passive component for storing electrical energy. At least one passive component has a capacitance in the range of 40 to 140 picofarads and a base area of less than 2.6 square millimetres.
