FIELD: laser technology.
SUBSTANCE: fibre optical quantum sweep generator with positive distributed feedback containing an active medium in the form of a polymeric active fibre, the core of which is made on an epoxy or cycloaliphatic oligomer activated by organic dye molecules and cured with fine glass powders with a specific surface activated by reactive groups. The fibre is in contact with the leg face of a rectangular prism. The sweep generator comprises a pumping source, an optical pumping system consisting of cylindrical and spherical lenses, and a reflective mirror fixed on a piezoelectric element in the form of a rectangular plate polarized in thickness and equipped with two electrodes, to which a voltage of opposite polarity is applied from the generator, providing a sweep reflective mirror and changing the angle of incidence of the pump radiation. The pump radiation from the mirror on the piezoplate is directed through the optical wedge to the hypotenuse face of the prism to pump the fibre core.
EFFECT: improved radiation quality.
