FIELD: antenna technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technique for measuring the parameters of a phased antenna array (PAA) with a large number of N elements, and is used for calibration in case of partial or complete failure of the amplitude control device for a part of the emitters of the tested PAA. When solving the calibration problem, data of complex amplitudes of currents or excitation voltages of emitters and measurement data obtained at the same points of the near zone when emitting signals from a defect-free calibrated phased array, placed at the site of the tested phased array and structurally completely coinciding with it, are used, then the function of the difference in the complex excitation amplitudes of the emitters of the new rarefied phased array and the function of the difference in the complex voltages recorded at the output of the probe at the points of measurements are formed.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of solving the calibration problem, including determining the excitation amplitude of the emitters of a multi-element PAA.
