FIELD: antenna engineering; underground or near-surface receiving or transmitting antennas. SUBSTANCE: annular antenna with controlled directivity pattern has N planar members symmetrically arranged in pairs along diagonal of antenna aperture. Each planar member has pair of radiators in the form of tetragonal plates mounted in coplanar manner in semiconducting medium or on its surface. External leads of radiators are interconnected by short-circuiting conductors and internal ones are connected by means of coaxial cable lengths to feeder channel cables. Short-circuiting conductors of adjacent planar members are electrically interconnected. Equations for dimensions of antenna array components ensuring most extended range of antenna array supplied with power from single feeder channel are given in description of invention. EFFECT: enlarged operating range of antenna fed from single power channel. 11 dwg
