FIELD: smoking devices.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an apparatus for producing an inhaled medium, a cartridge for use in such an apparatus, a capsule for a tobacco mixture, a method for producing an inhaled medium, a method for ensuring steady nicotine release, and a set of capsules for the apparatus for producing an inhaled medium. The apparatus (1) for producing an inhaled medium comprises a tank (9) for a liquid (10), a heater (11) for vaporising the liquid in the tank, a first chamber (13a) containing a first tobacco mixture (14a), a second chamber (13b) containing a second tobacco mixture (14b), and an outlet (4). The apparatus is therein made so that the inhaled medium released from the outlet during use contains vaporised liquid in the form of vapour and/or aerosol and one or multiple components of at least one of the tobacco mixtures, and the relative flow rates of the fluid medium through the first and second chambers are changed during use by passive means.

EFFECT: possibility of adjusting the path of passage of vapour/aerosol through multiple tobacco compositions by passive means, i.e. as a result of use of the apparatus and not an adjustment made by the user.
