FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for studying the physical and mechanical properties of potato tubers and can be used to determine the level of damage to potato tubers when optimizing the operation of potato harvesters, as well as to assess resistance to mechanical damage when breeding potato varieties intended for mechanized cultivation. The simulator contains a frame in the form of a hexagonal parallelepiped with a loading window, a forked blade, and a rotary separator is installed in the center of the frame. The rotary separator is installed at an angle to the horizon. The frame is mounted on a fixed shaft with the possibility of its rotation relative to the shaft, while the frame is made with the formation of edges, and each edge is a bar surface, the bars of which are rubberized.
EFFECT: invention provides the ability to bring experimental tests as close as possible to the real conditions of mechanized cultivation and harvesting of potato tubers, which increases the accuracy of assessing the damage to tubers and increases the reliability of the device.
