METHOD OF OPHTHALMOLOGICAL DISEASES TREATMENT Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61F9/00 A61M1/38

Abstract RU 2798002 C1

FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for complex-combined treatment of ophthalmic diseases. Cascade plasma filtration is performed with the help of OctaNova apparatus using the Plasmaflo plasma filter and the Cascadeflo fractionator in the amount of 8 procedures 2 times a week for 1 month. In this case, superhigh-flow membranes with pore sizes from 10 to 30 nm with a total membrane area of at least 1 m2 are used with the ability to withstand a transmembrane pressure of up to 500 mm Hg. The plasma is preheated to 37°C. For the treatment of uveitis, age-related macular degeneration of the dry form, post-thrombotic retinopathy, plasma fractionators with pore sizes of 30 nm are used, and for the treatment of sympathetic ophthalmia, autoimmune eye diseases, plasma fractionators with pore sizes from 10 to 20 nm are used.

EFFECT: method allows stopping the inflammatory process in inflammatory and autoimmune eye diseases, improving microcirculation and rheological properties of blood, enhancing perfusion in the vessels of the uvea itself, as well as achieving higher rates of functional rehabilitation in patients with diseases of the macular region and improving social and psychological adaptation of this category patients through the use of a selective membrane method of extracorporeal hemocorrection, due to which IgM, atherogenic lipoproteins, circulating immune complexes, cryoglobulins, viruses and other large molecules and supramolecular complexes are highly effectively eliminated.
