METHOD OF PROLONGING PREGNANCY IN EARLY PRE-ECLAMPSIA Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61M1/34

Abstract RU 2803574 C1

FIELD: medicine; anesthesiology and resuscitation; intensive care; obstetrics and gynecology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for prolonging pregnancy in early preeclampsia. The procedure of membrane plasmapheresis is performed. Then, on the next day, with an interval of three days, two sessions of cascade plasma filtration are carried out, consisting in sequential perfusion of blood through two filters, while on the first filter the blood is divided into uniform elements that are returned to the bloodstream, and the resulting plasma is sent to the second filter with a cut-off point substances with a molecular weight of more than 70 kDa. At the same time, the entire volume of circulating plasma is filtered in one session, after which it is returned to the patient.

EFFECT: method allows to prolong pregnancy, improve neonatal outcomes, namely: higher birth weight, higher Apgar score at birth, less need for surfactant, less need for respiratory support and a decrease in its duration, by removing the anti-angiogenic factor soluble fms -like tyrosine kinase-1 and atherogenic lipoproteins while maintaining the content of albumin and placental growth factor due to the combination of methods of the claimed invention.
