SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to perform bending processes of a pipe (T) or a similar type of workpiece. The machine tool (100) contains a working body for pipe bending (T) and a mechanism for feeding the pipe (22) to the working body. The working body and the pipe feed mechanism (22) contain the appropriate clamping devices (14) for fixing the processed pipe (T). At least one of the clamping devices (14) of the working body or pipe feed mechanism (22) is equipped with a displacement sensor (24), made with the possibility of non-contact detection and measurement of any displacement of the pipe (T) relative to the said clamping device (14) when fixing the pipe (T) by the said clamping device (14) during processing.

EFFECT: use of the invention improves the quality of processing and the reliability of the machine.
