SUBSTANCE: input means for portable user devices such as touch screens, and in particular the adjustments of the touch area. To do this, a touch input is received on the screen of the device, a contact surface is determined relative to the first touch input, and information about touching the first contact surface is obtained, the first touch area and the first non-touch area are determined on the touch screen of the electronic device based on information about touching the first contact surface, moreover the distance between the first touch area and the first contact surface is equal to the first distance value and the first non-touch area contains the first contact surface. At the same time, a second touch input is received, carried out on the first touch area, the first user interface is displayed on the display in response to the second touch input, the third touch input is received, carried out in the first non-touch area, and changes are skipped using an electronic device displayed on the display of the specified content electronic device in response to the third touch input. Moreover, after the step of determining the first touch area and the first non-touch area on the touch screen of the electronic device, based on the information about touching the first contact surface, the fourth touch input is received, carried out on the touch screen, the third contact surface is determined relative to the fourth touch input, and information is received about touching the third contact surface that is located on the first side screen of the touch screen, and the touch information may further comprise one or more of the following: contact surface height, contact surface width, and/or contact surface area. It is then determined, based on the touch information of the third contact surface, that the first side screen on the touch screen is a non-touch area, the fifth touch input performed on the first side screen is received, and the changes are skipped by the electronic device displayed on the display of said electronic device of content in response to the fifth touch input.
EFFECT: avoidance of unwanted triggering when the user accidentally touches the terminal device by adjusting the position of the touch area on the touch screen of the terminal device based on the gesture of taking the terminal device in hand, so that the touch area is removed from the first area.
