SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a multi-sensor interaction system and a method of using the said system. A camera-based multi-sensor interaction system for determining the position and/or location of at least one object (25) before an interaction surface (16) includes: an illumination device unit (2); a camera unit (1); a computing module for computing the position and/or location of at least one object (25), wherein the planes of one or more fan-shaped light beams (5, 26), formed by the illumination device unit (2), are substantially parallel to the interaction surface (16); and one or more of the said beams (5, 26) are focused in a direction substantially perpendicular to the plane of the interaction surface (16) such that one or more of the said beams (5, 26) have a substantially constant thickness in the said direction.
EFFECT: providing the concurrent operation of multiple users, two-mode system operation, particularly multi-sensor finger input and pen input simultaneously.
