FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: used as measures to improve the stability of external and internal overburden dumps, it is also possible to use it to strengthen the base of the roadway in open pit mining. The method for increasing the stability of overburden dumps is presented in three versions. The method includes leveling and layout of a site for an overburden dump, marking out the laying of a polymer mesh. Each tier is formed by layers of rock on polymer meshes, laid in rows overlapping, fastened with clamps every meter and with Y-shaped anchors installed. First, the first layer of rock of fine fraction up to 70 mm is poured, then the second layer of rock of medium fraction from 71 to 150 mm, the third layer of rock with a fraction of more than 150 mm. The height of the first layer and the second layer is 1.5 m each, each layer is leveled and compacted. Under the first tier, a polymer mesh is laid in the transverse direction, the tier is formed with a total height of 30 m. Then lay the polymer mesh in the longitudinal direction, lowering it to the level of the lower polymer mesh, and fix it at the joint with clamps . The next tier is formed, retreating from the edge of at least 5 m in the same sequence, the direction of laying the rock in each layer from the dump to the edge. Tier angle is from 37° up to 45°, each tier is fixed at the junction by connecting polymer meshes. An option without the use of anchors and an option with the use of steel ropes is proposed.
