SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in sanitary and bacteriological studies. The method of obtaining a protein base for the production of a selective nutrient medium with mannitol, bile and polymyxin for the detection of bacteria of Proteus, Morganella, Providencia genus is characterized by the fact that the reactor is loaded with the required volume of liquid pancreatic hydrolyzate of fish meal and disubstituted potassium phosphate in the amount per 10 g of dry PGRM — 0.8 g of potassium phosphate disubstituted, the mixture is heated to a temperature of 100°C, maintained at this temperature for 15–20 minutes, the complex of high-molecular proteins and peptides with calcium and magnesium cations formed during boiling is filtered on a filter press through belting using compressed air at a pressure of 0.5–1.0 atm, then the hydrolyzate dried in a drying plant with the following operating mode parameters: air temperature at the inlet to the drying chamber tin°C — 124–132; air temperature at the outlet from the drying chamber tout°C — 102–108.
EFFECT: invention ensures transparency of the liquid nutrient medium and good growth of Enterobacteriaceae family microorganisms.
