SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a nutrient medium for selective recovery of Pseudomonas aeruginosa – modified "Blesk" medium, containing a dry pancreatic hydrolyzate of casein with Tween and enzymatic peptone, as well as bacteriological agar, L-arginine, sodium chloride, skim milk and an aqueous solution of triphenyltetrazolium chloride at a given quantitative content of the initial components.
EFFECT: invention provides expanding the range of culture media for the detection and quantitative accounting of bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas, which form pigments of the phenazine series, and pigment-free strains, when examining water and environmental objects in laboratories of hygienic and epidemiological profile.
