METHOD OF FORMATION OF THE TRAGUS ZONE DURING SMAS-LIFTING OF SOFT TISSUES OF THE FACE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine; plastic; maxillofacial surgery.

SUBSTANCE: skin-fat flap is detached in the temporal, parotid, buccal, behind-the-ear, occipital regions. Hydropreparation, preparation of the skin-fat flap, lifting, moving and fixing the SMAS flap are carried out. Then, the soft tissue component is dissected from the perichondrium of the tragus to its base by pushing these layers apart. Separated soft tissues are moved towards the SMAS flap and fixed to it under tension with absorbable suture material. Next, the skin-fat flap is moved. Then excision of its excess is carried out in the temporal, behind the ear, occipital regions and in the area of the antihelix and the base of the earlobe with the imposition of fixing sutures. After that, the skin-fat flap is thinned in the pre-tragus region by excision of the excess subcutaneous fat and its base is fixed in the previously formed depression by suturing between the soft tissue block and the subcutaneous fat. Then the excess skin is excised along the contour of the tragus. Finally, the wound is sutured in layers.

EFFECT: method allows to form a hidden scar and the natural shape of the tragus and pretragus region, as well as to minimize the postoperative deformation of this zone.
