Method for preparing an arrangement of additives for insertion into the filtering bundle of a tobacco product, including providing a web (18) containing an array of discrete portions (9) of an additive, located in/on the web, wherein the array contains columns of at least two discrete portions (9) of the additive along the width of the web (18), forming a chain (22) of discrete portions (9) of the additive in the web (18), containing connecting sections (25) connecting adjacent discrete portions of the additive in a column of the array, and connecting sections (26) configured non-linear so as to connect discrete portions (9) of the additive in the corresponding adjacent columns of the array.

EFFECT: possibility of connecting adjacent columns of blisters in an array of blisters and, therefore, increase in the productivity of connecting blisters allowing connection of at least two columns of blisters along the width of the web.
