SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol generating product containing aerosol generating substrate. In the present invention, a rod is proposed for use as aerosol generating substrate in an aerosol generating product, while the rod contains several elongated tubular elements made of homogenized tobacco material assembled in such a way that elongated tubular elements pass in the longitudinal direction. In addition, the rod of aerosol generating substrate contains wrapper surrounding several elongated tubular elements. Several elongated tubular elements made of homogenized tobacco material are aligned parallel to each other inside the rod of aerosol generating substrate.
EFFECT: proposed aerosol generating product provides precise control of the porosity and resistance to drag (RTD) of the aerosol generating product; at the same time, it would be desirable to provide substrate for one such aerosol generating product that facilitates the introduction of a heater into substrate during use; it would be equally desirable to provide one such substrate or rod that can be manufactured efficiently and at a high speed, as well as to provide a method for manufacturing such a rod.
