SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a stabilizing device for stabilizing a metal strip rising from a bath of molten metal along the nominal feed plane (X), and to the unit for coating a metal strip with a layer of molten metal. The stabilizing device comprises at least one pair of air knives (1), at least one pair of electromagnetic stabilizers (2), a pair of first support beams (3), each of which supports the corresponding air knife (1), a pair of second support beams (6), each of which supports the corresponding electromagnetic stabilizer (2). The pair of second support beams (6) is different from the pair of first support beams (3). The first support beams (3) are located further from the nominal feed plane (X), whereas the second support beams (6) are located closer to the nominal feed plane (X) in a more internal position relative to the pair of first support beams. The first support beams (3) and the second support beams (6) have a respective first end resting on the first side structure and a corresponding second end resting on the second side structure.

EFFECT: improving the performance of air knives in terms of coating thickness accuracy on the strip, facilitating the maintenance operations of the knives and electromagnetic devices.
