SUBSTANCE: off-shore economic system is proposed comprising an elongated vertical support column (200) adapted for vertical navigation in the water and having length below the sea surface (10) than above the surface (10), and a rigid cage (300) surrounding said column (200) in the circumferential direction and configured to move in the longitudinal direction of the elongated vertical support column (200). Due to the length of said column (200) below the sea surface (10), it is possible to sink the cage (300), by moving it in the longitudinal direction of said column (200), to a position below the wave-prone zone at the location of said offshore economic system and/or below the habitat of lice and similar organisms that affect farmed marine species, at the location of said system offshore. The rigid cage (300) is equipped with adjustable ballasts. The offshore economic system (100) contains adjustable drivers (800) for controlled movement of the cage (300) in the longitudinal direction of the elongated vertical support column (200) in combination with adjustable ballasts in the cage (300).

EFFECT: controlled movement of the cage in the longitudinal direction of the elongated vertical support column.
