FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: method for testing specimens of small arms or rocket engines, in which the test specimen is fixed in the carriage, which is hung on elastic elements inside the power frame, and the force factors created by the working test specimen are determined relative to the reference point located on the carriage and being the origin of the orthogonal coordinate system. The projections of force factors on the coordinate axes and force moments relative to the coordinate axes are determined taking into account the given inertial, dissipative and elastic characteristics of the system according to the readings of force sensors installed on the elements of the load-bearing frame, to which the ends of the corresponding elastic elements are attached by means of spherical hinges. The values of inertial, dissipative and elastic characteristics of the test system are determined by the static and dynamic calibration of the mechanical system. Devices for testing rocket engines and specimens of small arms differ from each other by the attachment point of the test specimen in the carriage. The carriage intended for mounting the test rocket engine in it has stops for fixing the engine. The carriage intended for mounting a specimen of small arms in it has a unit for fixing the specimen with the angular positioning of the test specimen relative to the coordinate axes necessary for testing, as well as a control unit for automatic firing of the specimen. The devices are equipped with systems for their static and dynamic calibration.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining the power characteristics of the test specimen.
