FIELD: chemical compositions.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical composition of the feedstock mass used to obtain heat-insulating and structural-heat-insulating building materials with closed porosity. The mixture for obtaining heat-insulating blocks includes a silica-containing component, an alkaline component, a blowing agent and water. As a silica component, it comprises nepheline-containing wastes after processing of apatite-nepheline ores – apatite flotation tailings (AFT) in the following ratio of components, wt.%: silica component 60-80; alkaline component 9-26; blower 0-1; water 11-23.

EFFECT: expanded feedstock range for the production of foam glass-ceramic materials, increased compressive strength and reduced water absorption.
