FIELD: wind energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wind power generators with wind turbines of vertical type, segment and arc type, mainly with a vertical axis. A wind turbine with a vertical axis contains a base, horizontal traverses, on which wind collectors are placed, made in the form of coaxially located rotating blades and fixed curtains enclosed in a cylindrical shell. The blades are equipped with springs, which, when the wind collector moves against the wind flow, rotate the blades relative to the curtain to a position limited by stops on the curtains, in which the blades are located between the windows of the curtains, and when moving downstream, the windows are closed.
EFFECT: reducing the effective surface of the wind turbine moving against the flow, while maintaining the maximum effective surface of the wind turbine moving downstream.
