FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the use of an alkoxybenzophenone as a photoinitiator in a process for crosslinking at least one polyolefin. Alkoxybenzophenone has the general formula (I):
where R1 represents -O-(CH2)n-CH3 where n is from 0 to 3, or -O-(CH2)n-(C=O)-O-(CH2)m-CH3 where n is from 1 to 3 and m is from 0 to 3; R2 is -O-(CH2)n-CH3, where n is an integer from 4 to 15; and R3 is -H or -O-(CH2)n-CH3, where n is an integer from 4 to 15. The invention also relates to a compound of formula I, to a photoinitiator, to a composition and master batch for crosslinking at least one polyolefin, as well as to a method for crosslinking at least one polyolefin.
EFFECT: development of a family of alkoxybenzophenones, which should be used for crosslinking polyolefins as photoinitiators, demonstrating a high degree of photocuring into high compatibility with the cross-linkable polyolefin or copolymers.
