SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose the severity of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS). Luminol-dependent chemiluminescence of heparinized whole blood with the addition of zymosan is performed. The intensity of zymosan-induced generation of reactive oxygen species by phagocytes is determined. The indicator of the reserve of functional activity of phagocytes is determined. If the value of the said indicator is 2.8–3.3 r.u. — HFRS of moderate severity is diagnosed, if the value of the said indicator is 2.0–2.7 r.u. — severe HFRS is diagnosed, if the value of the said indicator is 1.9 r.u. and less — severe HFRS with acute renal failure is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides a simplified and accurate diagnosis of the severity of HFRS by assessing the functional reserve of the phagocytic link of the immune system.
