FIELD: water desalination technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for local fresh water supply of settlements, housing, public and industrial buildings. The vacuum desalination plant comprises pump 2 connected in series with a pipeline system for supplying raw water, recuperative heat exchanger 3, sealed chamber 1 with water bath and with evaporator 8 connected to solar collector 9 through pump 10, vacuum pump 15, heat exchanger 6 for condensing distillate vapours and collector distillate 16. Sealed chamber 1 is equipped with distillate vapor separator 13 with a housing in the form of a cylinder with sealed cavity 12 communicating with the chamber cavity. At the entrance to the chamber, disk 17 is fixed with holes 18 made at the same distance from the centre and with the same circumferential pitch, the axes of which are located at an angle to the flat generating surfaces and tangentially directed to the cylindrical generatrix of the disk. The cylindrical generatrix has grooves 19 made along its entire length parallel to the disk axis. Grooves 19 are open towards the flat forming surfaces and create holes 20 with the inner surface of the separator housing. The cross-sectional area of holes 20 is less than the cross-sectional area of holes 18 in disk 17.

EFFECT: increased productivity of vacuum desalination plants and the quality of the resulting distillate.
