DESALINATION INSTALLATION Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC C02F1/16

Abstract RU 2412909 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an installation for desalinating sea water and can be used in hot climate regions using solar energy to heat water, as well as on submarines and ships. The desalination installation has a source of water, a source water pump, a source water heat exchanger-heater, a centrifugal-vortex steam generator, a steam condenser, a condensate storage container with outlet pipes. The source water heater is in form of a heating container which receives solar energy through focusing reflectors or lenses. The water inlet pipe of the centrifugal-vortex steam generator is connected to the heating container through a circulation pump. The water outlet pipe of the centrifugal-vortex steam generator is also connected to the heating container, forming a closed circulation system.

EFFECT: low power consumption, creation of high vacuum, provision for water deep cooling, high efficiency of desalination.
