SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in planning surgical treatment of spinal deformities against the background of idiopathic scoliosis. The method includes performing multispiral computed tomography of the spine, creating a 3D model of the spine based on it, determining the optimal size of the screw and its insertion trajectory by performing calculations on the image of vertebral sections in the axial plane of this vertebra. The trajectory of the screw insertion and its length are determined by the line passing from the point of entry at the base of the transverse process into the body through the pedicle of the vertebral arch at the maximum possible distance from the medial cortical wall to the anterior cortical plate of the vertebral body, while it should not cross the central line dividing the vertebra into two equal parts.

EFFECT: method provides accuracy of pedicle screws installation in anatomically changed vertebrae due to scoliotic deformity, as well as reduction of the risk of damage to the medial cortical wall of the pedicle of the vertebral arch due to the use of a model as close as possible to the real view of the anatomical formations.
