FIELD: vehicle safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a passive safety device for a car, preferably an electric car, which has an engine, a passenger compartment in the form of a detachable capsule and a frame. The safety device consists of lifting, rotating and stabilizing elements. The lifting element is a bellows with a squib, during the explosion of which the bellows has the ability to lift the detachable capsule above the electric motors. The rotation element is made in form of a spherical joint, which is two spherical supports connected by a pin, one of which is installed in the bellows cover, and the other is configured to be installed in the bottom of the detachable capsule for possible rotation of the detachable capsule by inertia after it is lifted around the ball joint pin by metal or polymer disk located between their surfaces and covered with a film with a low coefficient of friction. The position of the lifting and rotation elements for the detachable capsule is made with the possibility of computer control and the possibility of stabilization by electric brakes.
