SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to embodiments of a vaping device and a steam generator unit for a vaping device. The steam generator assembly for a vaping device comprises a reservoir configured to hold a pre-vapour composition, a vaporization assembly configured to heat the pre-vapour composition drawn from said reservoir to form steam, an air intake assembly configured to direct ambient air into the vaporization assembly, wherein the air intake assembly at least partially defines an arcuate air inlet that extends at least partially around the outer surface of the steam generator assembly, and an inlet passage extending from the arcuate air inlet into the interior of the steam generator assembly, for at least partially establishing fluid communication between arcuate air inlet and evaporator assembly, an air duct passing between the inlet duct of the air intake assembly and the evaporator assembly so that the inlet duct is configured to establish fluid communication between the arcuate air inlet and the evaporator assembly through said air duct. The vapour generator assembly for the vaping device also includes a flow control structure comprising a plurality of holes of various sizes and configured to controllably align a selected hole from said plurality of holes with an air duct to control the flow area associated with said air duct.

EFFECT: possibility of adjustable control of the puff resistance, flow rate and amount of air entering the evaporator unit during the operation of the vaping device is provided, as well as the ability to customize the performance of the vaping device.
