METHOD OF MODELING THE EFFECT OF A SUBSTANCE ON PERIPHERAL NERVOUS TISSUE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2801329 C1

FIELD: medicine, experimental surgery, neurosurgery.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to simulate the effect of a substance on peripheral nervous tissue. Surgical access is made to the sciatic nerve of an experimental animal, a rat, the nerve is isolated together with the fascia, a hole is formed in the fascia, through which it is bluntly separated from the nerve and muscle with the formation of a free space between them. Then, through a separate puncture and adjacent muscle, a catheter cannula is inserted into the formed space, the wound is sutured. Anhydrous glycerol is injected through the installed catheter for a predetermined time period, after which the formed space is washed through the cannula, after which the cannula with the catheter is removed.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of a controlled temporary effect of the test substance on the peripheral nervous tissue and the possibility of introducing several substances in a given time period with the removal of the substance, or with the addition of a new one, due to the combination of methods of the claimed invention.
