FIELD: image processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related the determination of the degree of coverage of the surface of crushed stone with bitumen. This is achieved due to the fact that objects are located on the substrate, their images are obtained, these images are digitally processed to determine the degree of sample coverage, a single-color substrate with a mask applied to it is used, images are obtained using digital photography, which makes it possible to obtain images of large objects, unlike scanning, digital processing consists of the following steps: applying binarization methods, searching for zones and identifying objects, segmenting objects and clean stone zones, calculating the degree of adhesion.
EFFECT: providing image processing to determine the degree of adhesion of the bituminous material to the crushed stone based on the analysis of the coating of the surface of the crushed stone with bitumen.
